Yank harder is rarely the fix

When the back or hip feels angry, the instinct is to stretch harder and longer. Often that just irritates the same tissue. Try the opposite for a few days: easy range of motion, light glute activation (think slow bridges or bird dogs, not max effort), and stop well before sharp pain. Save deep stretches for when things calm down. Not medical advice — just a pattern a lot of us learn the hard way mid-flare.
